WCA Athletics is focused on our overall mission to foster students’ spiritual, physical, and emotional wellness per our Seven Pillars. Competition in a Christ-centered culture is rooted in developing and expressing Christian character through traits such as self-discipline, perseverance, humility, responsibility, integrity, commitment, reliability, patience, and cooperation. While student-athletes cultivate these eternal values, our goal is that athletes and coaches will present a testimony of our relationship with Jesus Christ to all of those we come in contact with on and off the field, court, course, or other athletic venue.
Williamsburg Christian Academy fields multiple team sports over three seasons, which are both gender-specific and co-ed.
Our campus has extensive athletic facilities, including an indoor gymnasium for volleyball and basketball, outdoor fields for soccer and field hockey, and a baseball diamond complete with a press box.
At WCA, wellness is one of our foundational pillars for student development, and this pillar applies to all of our students, not just Upper School students in varsity athletics. Students in grades 2-5 can participate in a unique intramural sports program called Junior Eagles. Not only does Junior Eagles help our students maintain wellness, but our upper-class athletes in matching sports are generally the mentors and coordinators for the seasons of Junior Eagles, along with a coach from the coaching staff. This is a fantastic opportunity for our lower and upper school student-athletes and is another way we build fellowship between the Lower and Upper schools.
