The Residential
Program at WCA
Residential life at WCA is an immersive experience that builds relationships and a strong sense of community in a safe, structured environment that helps nurture every student. We invite our students into a community of care that they can call home.
Essential staff are on-site to meet the needs of our students, including a Dean of Residential Life, co-ed house leadership and residential medical staff. Residential program students are transported daily to and from school and scheduled extracurricular activities. Special fellowship activities are also available in our residential campus to foster friendship, team building and stress relief, including weekend trips.
In addition to praise and worship, small-group Bible study, and Bible courses daily, residential life students begin and end their days with prayer and scripture. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8, Philippians 2:1-16, Galatians 5:19-26 and Matthew 18 provide the structure and direction of Williamsburg Christian Academy’s boarding program. Students are taught to live in a community where love and respect abound. Additionally, they are led to resolve conflicts per scripture.
Our picturesque residential campus is remote and private. The student-adult ratio is 10:1 below the national average in boarding education. The ministry-minded residential team is experienced and dedicated to care, love, and shepherd students. Nutritious meals and snacks are provided as an essential component of our residential program ensuring that dietary needs and restrictions are met. Weekend community life incorporates intentional activities to create opportunities for students to connect and make lasting friendships through local and regional outings. Students, as stakeholders, contribute to the cleanliness of the residential environment, along with a cleaning staff that ensures deep cleaning and sterilization.
On campus, the recent installation of a comprehensive security and surveillance system makes our facility one of the safest in the region for our students. We also implement a comprehensive health mitigation plan for the prevention of the spread of illness, and have a structured contingency plan for remote learning if necessary.
Saturday out-of-town residential experiences are designed to enrich the lives of all boarding school students and allow students a chance to "get away" and unwind for a day. Whether they are ice skating at Rockefeller Plaza, visiting Constitution Hall, enjoying our beaches, attending professional and collegiate sporting events, white water rafting and kayaking, horse riding, go-karting, enjoying amusement parks, or having dinner in DC, Saturday experiences provide boarding students with the best that our region of the United States has to offer.
At Williamsburg Christian Academy, we believe in working hard during the week and reserving Saturdays for fun and enjoyment of God’s creation.
