On Saturday, October 6th, WCA will be participating in the 9th annual 5K run to benefit the Arc of Greater Williamsburg. The Arc of Greater Williamsburg is a non-profit organization and has proudly served people with developmental disabilities in our community since 1976. Their support services provide educational, health and wellness, life skills, cultural, social, and recreational programs. In addition, they provide much-needed respite time for families and caregivers.

We would love to have as many WCA members as possible wearing either the newly designed WCA Athletic shirts, any WCA logo’ed apparel, or merely royal blue colors. Up to 20% of purchases of this shirt will go back to the Athletic Department at WCA to help fund the purchase of necessary sports equipment. The students are able to wear these shirts during games or for special dress down days that will occur throughout the school year as well!
We will meet as a school the morning of the race at Williamsburg Landing Retirement Center at 7:15 am. If you have any further questions, please email our race coordinator, Athletic Director Pam Gibbons, at gibbonsp@williamsburgchristian.org.
We are sincerely hoping to make this an annual event to support our community and the Arc of Greater Williamsburg. How great would it be to see a sea of royal blue at the race!
