WCA Board of Directors

Williamsburg Christian Academy is led by a Board of Directors that oversees the financial well-being of the institution and plans for the future through setting appropriate policy, keeping the longer-term vision and principles in focus.

Matt Leffler Board President Matt was named President effective January 1st, 2020, and had been a member-at-large previous to his appointment. Matt grew up in Williamsburg and attended WCA in the 4th and 5th grades. At that time WCA was meeting in a building on Jamestown Rd, which is now a landscaping business. These days Matt is a Commercial Real Estate Broker with Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate. Matt graduated from Radford University with a Masters Degree in Corporate Communications. He and his wife of 14 years Suzanne Leffler, have one child Noah, who is a rising 3rd grader. They attend the Williamsburg Community Chapel where he regularly teaches in the Children’s ministry. Matt enjoys mountain biking, backpacking and also training in martial arts, which he attends with his son. Robin Jones Vice President Robin Jones was born in North Carolina and graduated from Appalachian State University with a Middle-Grade Education teaching degree. Her family moved to Williamsburg in 1999, and in 2007, she completed her Master's degree in Gifted Education at the College of William and Mary. She has been teaching at Berkeley Middle School since 2003. Her husband, Chris, and she have two children, Kathryn and William. They enjoy classic cars and boating on the Chickahominy River. Robin and Chris are members of Williamsburg Community Chapel where they serve as Student Ministries Deacons. Bill Wright Secretary Bill is now retired after an extensive career in contracting and recruiting with multiple government organizations, and private corporations, such as the Virginia Department of Transportation, Dominion Resources, Delta-T Corporation and TYGES. Bill graduated from Virginia Commonwealth with a Bachelor of Science degree in Traffic and Transportation Safety, and an MBA from Averett University. For seven years he served on the Board of Directors for “Pennies for Heaven”, a non-profit organization that fed and clothed the homeless in Richmond on a weekly basis. Bill and his wife Robin traveled to the Holy Land on a pilgrimage and were re-baptized in the Jordan River. The couple has a daughter Jordan, a graduate of the Class of '19 now attending Liberty, who never attended a school other than WCA. What Bill values most in WCA is the stability and consistency of our Christ-centered message and biblical world view in an ever changing world. Rich Boyd Treasurer Richard was named board treasurer in early 2022. Richard grew up in a military family and moved around until his family settled in Northern Virginia. He graduated from Liberty University in December 2010 with a degree in Business Management. Richard has worked for IBM, Lockheed Martin, and owns a small business. He is married with three kids. In 2021 his family moved from Littleton, CO. to Williamsburg, VA. in order to be closer to extended family. His family attends Coastal Community Church and two of his three children attend WCA.
