The WCA Lady Eagle Basketball team heads into their final Metro matchup of the season tonight at home against Isle of Wight after cleaning up their last two opponents, both on the road, for a chance at a perfect Metro record on the season.
The Lady Eagles notched wins against both Broadwater Academy and Alliance Christian, 67-27 and 72-22 respectively.
Both games were earmarked by runaway leads in the first half, as the team generated a 31-12 lead in the first half over Broadwater, and an even more impressive 49-13 lead over Alliance in the opening half. Armani Franklin led all scorers in both games with 20 in each, while Aquazia Jones added 16 and 14 and Nissa Chillers had 15 and 17 in each game respectively.
The team concluded the Regular season tonight at home as it honors their Seniors, with a Game tip of 5:30PM.
