The tradition of our Middle School Students serving their community through the Rake-a-Thon is back. The Rake-a-Thon is an incredible opportunity for the middle school students to put into practice their faith. Students, along with teachers and parents, take an entire school day to go out into the community and serve people by simply raking their leaves.

Many times the families we help have physical limitations that make it difficult for them to do this task. Other times it is simply a random act of kindness. The students benefit by being able to see first-hand how simple acts can make a large impact in another’s life. It also gives them the opportunity to learn to work together as a team.

This year’s Rake-a-Thon is scheduled for November 8, 2017.  If you have a family that may qualify and be blessed by this service project please email and let us know.  Permission slips will be sent home as well as found on our website.  We are also looking for parent volunteers to help drive teams of students to their raking location.  We are excited to give our students the opportunity to serve our community.  Contact for this event is Mrs. Walls at wallsd@williamsburgchristian.org.
